Peter Moss is professor of Early Childhood Provision at the Institute of Education, University of London. Between 1986 and 1996, Peter was coordinator of the EC Childcare Network. He is currently Editor of 'Children in Europe'.

Kenny Spence has worked in childcare for the past seventeen years and is one of seventeen men working in Children's Centres in Edinburgh. As well as managing the Men in Childcare project, he also manages Gilmerton Child and Family Centre and jointly manages Edinburgh's Lone Fathers Project.

Colin Chisholm is project co-ordinator of Men in Childcare appointed in January 2001. Colin has worked very closely with Kenny Spence to improve the recruitment of men in childcare.

Derek Thomson works in Gilmerton Child and Family Centre. Formerly a bakery manager, Derek is a graduate of a MIC project.

Jan Peters started the MEQ project in 1995 in five different cities in Flanders, Belgium to make nurseries more intercultural and diverse. In 2003 he used the experience from the MEQ project and DECET network to set up a project to increase the number of men working in childcare. Jan is a member of the editorial board of Children in Europe.

 
 

Marta Korintus is director of research at the National Institute for Family and Social Policy, Budapest Hungary and has represented the Ministry at the Council of Europe Forum for Children & Families.

Dr. Claire Cameron is a researcher of Early Childhood Provision at the Institute of Education, University of London. She is co-author of Gender and Caring and Men in the Nursery.

Peter Moller Pederson is senior lecturer at CVU Midt - Vest (University College of Middle and Western Jutland, Denmark) and is head of a research and development unit of professional studies. He has run an introductory course for men aiming at a career within the field of social pedagogy.

Bjorn Flising is a lecturer at the Unit for Individual, Culture and Society, Dept of Education, Gothenburg University, Sweden and is an expert on pedagogical methods; he is also a member of an influential national steering committee.

Gordon Plews has been a lecturer in Early Years Education and Childcare at Stevenson College, Edinburgh, Scotland for the past 18 years; previously he was a Youth and Community worker and taught elementary/early years education in schools.

Erik Hauglund works for the Norwegian Ministry of Children and Family Affairs and was Norway's very first male childcare worker in 1974.
